PASTA GIVEAWAY!

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend and are ready for a fun, new week. I certainly have some fun things planned here this week. I can't think of a better way to kick off a new week than with our very first giveaway at goodLife {eats}!

About Al Dente Pasta:
I recently had the opportunity to sample some of Al Dente's Pastas and Sauce. What a treat! The pasta itself cooks in only 3 minutes. That's over a two-thirds less than the time it typically takes to cook pasta. If you're busy like me, you know that sometimes every minute counts. Not only is it quick to make, it tastes wonderful! Tonight we had the Classic Egg Fettuccine with homemade marinara sauce and what a delicious combo it was! Al Dente Pasta is made with quality ingredients for a special freshly made taste.     I've been meaning to post to your blog for a while now and figured this was as good a time as any. Tomcat has tried this pasta and likes but then again he's not a pasta snob he will eat any brand as long as it's pasta.

    Pasta as a food group is a favorite of mine, but if pressed to narrow it down, I have to go with angle-hair pasta and some sort of cream sauce ~ lemon cream, crab Alfredo, or pesto cream. Mmm. Lasagna and ricotta gnocchi are close seconds.

    Pasta is my thing to make when I can't think of anything else to make. I love fettuccine with fresh mozzarella, basil and marinara.

    My husband makes a mean angel hair pasta with buttery white wine sauce. He adds red pepper flakes for kick. With a fresh spinach salad on the side, it's a great meal when we don't know what else to make.

    One of my very favorites is lasagna with lots of extra ricotta and mozarella... But high in the running are homemade pasta with marinara sauce; fettucine alfredo; linguine with pesto; and in summer I love a big Greek pasta salad with fresh mint, tons of grape tomatoes, feta, cucumber, green pepper, kalamata olives, red onion - and the curly pasta whose name escapes me at the moment.     Lemon pepper pasta with seafood cooked with a bit of white wine and butter or boneless skinless chicken cooked in any bottled sauce to go over the pasta.

    As for what pasta dish is my favorite....

    Anything with a cream sauce. I have one at a local restaurant that has butternut squash in it and, well, if i could cook that, I'd eat it all the time.

    I don't care for fettucini noodles much though. Angle hair or bowtie are my faves.

    It depends on the mood I'm in. Shrimp or chicken in a lemon caper sauce with capelleni or linguine is a favorite as well as a good old fashioned marinera with angel hair and fresh basil.
