Can I tempt you with a Caramel Apple Cookie? Fall is definitely here and I am loving the crisp morning air. It's the perfect weather to snuggle under a blanket with someone and enjoy baked treats.
In other news, we've been entertaining a tummy bug here this week. So far it's just Logan and we all hope it stays that way. I'm busy getting ready for BlogHer Food '09. I can't tell you how incredibly excited I am to spend the weekend in beautiful San Francisco. Meeting and learning from fellow bloggers is sure to be a wonderful experience. And the food...ooooh the food! So many restaurants, so little time! Kristen and I will be rooming together and exploring the city Friday afternoon. If you have a recommendation of something we must see, do, or eat, I'd love to hear it in the comments. If you're a blogger attending the event, I sincerely look forward to meeting you!
How exciting for you to be attending...and your cookies look great!
ReplyDeleteJust when you think you've seen it all. I would so want to sink my teeth into one of these.
ReplyDeleteThe cookie looks great. I tried those caramel bits in a chocolate cookie, but it turned out a bit disappointing. I'll have to give them another go.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at Blogher food. I hope you'll share all about it with those of us who aren't going.
I'm drooling over that cookie!
ReplyDeleteAnd have a blast at Blogher Food! Say hi to Jane from This Week for Dinner!! I soooo wish I was going! Blondies Pizza is a super yum place to eat, by the way! Have fun!
You bet I'm in the mood for a caramel apple cookie. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteThese cookies sound so good! I love fall, it's the perfect time of year in my opinion. Have fun in San Francisco!
ReplyDeleteYour cookies caught my eye on Tastespotting. I'll look forward to meeting you in SF at the BHF!
ReplyDeleteA nice twist to the caramel apple!
ReplyDeleteHave fun at Blogher Food! I'm jealous you get to spend so much time with Kristen! She's such a sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteKatie,
ReplyDeleteThese cookies look deliciously perfect for fall. Hope you have a wonderful time in San Francisco. It's such a great city for eating.
Just wanted to mention that I am holding a Cookie Cookbook Giveaway on my Cookie Recipe Website - www.best-ever-cookie-collection.com - through the end of September for anyone interested.
These look good. Will have to try them when I get back from Blogher Food - can't wait to meet you!
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky, hope you have a great time! The cookies look awesome, I love those little caramel chips :)
ReplyDeleteThose look amazing and I am going to have to try out that recipe. Never knew they sold Caramel bits, thanks for posting the picture of the package. I recognize that American Crafts ribbon!
ReplyDeleteI am planning on making these cookies for a party but I couldn't find the caramel baking bits. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteStephanie - you could buy regular caramels and chop them into tiny pieces.
ReplyDeleteIt's not fall, but I tried these cookies last week. Oh were they delicious! Most of my cookies don't turn out. I put in Choc. Chips in some and ommitted the apples for my picky daughters. I can't have these on hand because I ate a ton of these. Thanks for the recipe!
