New Kitchen Toys

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I am looking forward to a great New Year and can't wait to blog using these fun new kitchen toys that I received as gifts. I love them all and the givers were so thoughtful!

Did you get any fun new kitchen toys for Christmas? Please share! What was your biggest surprise? What was your favorite gift to give? My favorite gift that I gave was a new pair of ballet shoes for Eric. He used to dance as a teen and throughout college. He's recently been going to a class for fun on Saturdays, but his old shoes are very worn. He was so surprised that I knew what brand (I peeked at his old ones) and style to get him. I was pretty pleased with myself!

  1. Lovely gifts. I'll take one of each ;)

I got two kitchen gifts this year. The first was a Wonder Mill, and the second was a new electric griddle. Both were definitely needed.

Hope you have a very happy new year!

  3. I actually got a few different kitchen items too! On Christmas Eve, my husband ran to the store to grab a few items I needed for some Christmas dishes...he not only came home with groceries, but also with a red glazed cast iron skillet and dutch oven! I felt like Christmas had come early! Then, on Christmas morning, I opened up a big box to discover a home espresso machine - Yay!! I received some cash for Christmas as well and went out and purchased a coffee grinder, a digital meat thermometer, and some silicone whisks.
All in all, it was a great Christmas!

  4. I have just recently found your blog. I have enjoyed it so much and look forward to you sharing how to use some of those kitchen gadgets as I am someone who is not too great with cooking but so wants to learn and in my mid 40's at that.

    Happy New Year!

  10. Loved seeing there is a new Silver Spoon book. I received three beautiful Le Creuset dishes for Christmas! My husband spotted them earlier this fall at TJ Maxx and made sure he and his mother got there in time to stock up for me. I LOVE them! Keeping them out on my dining room table as decoration - they're that lovely to look at. :-) And I keep using them every day for every thing! If anyone's ever thought about getting Le Creuset but stopped because of the price, I say go for it! It's SO worth it.

  11. I am so happy to stumble on your blog. I love gadgets and love reading your blog. I bought a cake server with a magnetic heel. It basically looks like an elegant high heel shoes. I love it. I will try and show it on my blog soon.

  14. You got some good loot! I got a Penguin - you know, those things that pump carbonation into tap water. I'm terrible about drinking water but will do so if it's bubbly. Thoughtful gift from hubby but not a lot of fun. (Although I do like the water.) He also got me some nice olive oil and balsamic and great sea salts. All presents bought at Williams Sonoma. Got to love that.
