US Wellness Meats and Evo Conference {giveaway}

Allow me to introduce you to the newest sponsor of goodLife {eats}: US Wellness Meats. Yes, I've written about them before when I made this delicious recipe for Seared Filet with Mixed Herb Gremolata. But let's recap what they're all about just in case you don't remember.

IMG_4208-2

US Wellness Meats is all about high quality meats. Their motto says it all: "our animals eat right so you can too." If you're looking for a place to find grass feed beef, veal or lamb, free range poultry, or sustainable seafood I highly recommend US Wellness Meats. So far I've tried their ground chicken, skirt steak, filet mignon, chicken breast, and salmon and everything has been wonderful. The company's mission is to do what's good for their animals, good for our planet and good for you. Want to know more about US Wellness Meats? Check out their history here.

Not only am I excited to help promote a brand that really stands out in the food industry, I am incredibly grateful for their sponsorship to attend Evo Conference this week. Wednesday I'll be heading up to Park City, Utah for Evo Conference. I am looking forward to some time with some of blogging friends and meeting new friends as well. The speaker line-up looks amazing and I'm definitely looking forward to the food blogging and photography workshop that's on the agenda. It will be great to see Jane again and who wouldn't want to learn photography secrets from Helen. If you'll be attending be sure to let me know so we have the chance to meet. I'll be on Twitter during the conference as well as checking email.

Not attending? I'll be posting a conference recap next week to tell you about all the cool things I have learned and the fun people I've met. If you want to follow along in real time you can read my tweets and follow the Twitter hashtags #evo10 and #evoconf to see what everyone has to say.

  25. First for an appetizer I would make kibbe using the ground lamb and some spices I have in the house. Serve with fresh baked pita bread. On the side, the amish cheddar cheese.

    For the main course a whole chicken drizzled with the Pruneti Olivo tuscan olive oil and stuffed with lemons and cracked black pepper. Pair it with risotto.

    Dessert would definitely be the Chocolate ice cream that is made with cashew cream. Wow!

  45. My goodness!
    I spent a summer in Paris and was lucky enough to have a bi-weekly open-air market down the street. That's when I fell in love with rabbit. I've only had it once since coming back to the states and I seriously want to breed rabbits just for that amazing taste.
    Needless to say, I'd totally buy the rabbit sirloin, and since I'm from WI originally (transplanted to AZ) I'd probably splurge the rest on cheese and put together a great cheese plate to go with my sauteed rabbit sirloin (and probably potatoes...mmm, or green beans...now I'm hungry!)

  46. I have fond memories of the most fantastic steak I once ate in Wyoming. If I could grill a steak like that, with some roasted potatoes and a big salad of mixed greens, I think that would be my perfect meal. Simple, but great. :o)

  81. Since its summer and all. I would just like a nice juicy burger from the grill. Maybe topped with some extra sharp white cheddar cheese and crispy onion strings. YUM!

    ReplyDelete
  82. I buy grassfed meat and pastured poultry from a local farm, so I'd look for something I can't get local, like the sustainable wildcaught salmon or black cod filets (although the sticker shock is pretty intense!). I also can't make enough grassfed butter for all the time, so that's a great option to order. Pair those with homemade rolls and Farmer's Market veggies, and you've got a perfect meal!

  88. I checked out the US Wellness and was really impressed! I'm trying to cut out unhealthy foods-- such as preservatives, un-natural sugars and all that junk. I recently learned that grass fed beef cuts down the levels of e coli in the meat. My perfect meal would be something I can serve to my 4 year old and 2 1/2 year old and know it's good, nutritious food. It could be a hamburger. Although I'm sure my hubby would prefer a filet mignon with melted blue cheese on top and some homemade mash potatoes with roasted asparagus on the side :)

    ReplyDelete
  89. My perfect meal would be their Tenderloin Filet Mignon with our garden vegetables, probably baked sweet potato fries drizzled with coconut oil and sea salt.
