We're heading out next weekend to visit family, so I'm going to use up the groceries I've got and incorporate them into some yummy meals. I had a laugh earlier that I won't need to put laundry away in the traditional sense this week. Instead it will go from dryer to suitcase.
I'm planing to get together with Maria while I'm in her neck of the woods. She and I could do some serious damage in the kitchen, in the best way possible! And hopefully we'll catch Julie and Julia (also, I'm going to be the featured blog of the day on the official website August 7th).
- Sunday: Soft Tacos With Chicken and Tomato-Corn Salsa
- Monday: Blue Cheese Balsamic Burgers, grilled corn, and fruit
- Tuesday: Leftovers
- Wednesday: Arugula, Potato, and Green-Bean Salad with Creamy Walnut Dressing and Caramelized Onion Quiche I am substituting spinach for the Arugula because I have some.
- Thursday: Leftovers
- Friday: Pizza (we have a freebie at our favorite place because they made a mistake on our last order)
I've been eyeing these Glazed Lemon Cakes, so I think that will be our sweet treats for the week. If I have time, I'd also like to make this recipe for homemade granola to snack on for our road trip.

Wednesday - Breaded Chicken Breast with Tomato Salsa and Mozzarella, with Sweet Potato Fries and Broccoli
Thursday - Cheese-stuffed chicken breast wrapped in bacon, with veg & rice stuffed peppers
Friday - leftovers
Saturday - homemade pizza birthday party!
